English Teacher

English Teacher (Full Time): 2 positions
Digital Divide Data (DDD) is a social enterprise based jointly in New York, Cambodia and Laos.
DDD provides a range of document digitization services to clients while creating sustainable
IT-related job opportunities and training for disadvantaged people in the developing world.
Disadvantaged target groups include landmine victims, polio survivors, abused women, rural
migrants, orphans, those from impoverished families, and first-time job seekers.
As a part of DDD Social Mission Program, DDD provides basic training courses including
English Language, Computers, Typing, personal effectiveness, job search training, etc to the
disadvantaged people in our targeted groups. In order to boost the training course programs
and strengthen the social mission team, we are looking for self-motivated candidates to fill
in the following position:
English Teacher (Full Time): 2 positions
- Specific qualifications and competencies:
- Bachelor of Letter, Education, or humanity in English.
- At least 1 year professional experience in teaching
- Strong knowledge and experience in teaching methodologies
- Strong teaching skills- be able to draw students’ attention and facilitate enabling learning
environment
- Ability to motivate students to commit to excellence/self improvement
- Strong English skills both Spoken and Written
- Some computer skills in word processing and spreadsheets.
- Self-motivated and ability to take initiatives & lead.
- Good Communication skills, team player, works well with others
- Commit to help and work with disadvantage people
- S/he will be mainly responsible for:
- Conduct the English Teaching according to the schedules
- Maintain students’ records, coordinate the teaching schedule and report the student
attendance and teaching hours to the management team on a regular basis
- Provide day to day support to the training program, training materials, equipment, training
room, visual aid learning tools, etc
- Assist in the development and improvement of Training Program including curriculum and
training material devilment
