Development Of Nahico Website
ເພື່ອທີ່ຈະໄປເຮັດວຽກກັບ AHICPP ຢູ່ທີ່ ນະຄອນຫຼວງວຽງຈັນ
The Government of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic has received financing from the International Development Association (IDA) of the World Bank, and intends to apply part of the funds to cover eligible payments for the consultancy for the development of the official website for the NAHICO for the Avian and Human Influenza Control and Preparedness Project
(IDA Grant No. H-243LA, Grant No. TF057185 and TF056737).
The services include the design of the website in close consultation with NAHICO and provision of related services until the start-up and initial maintenance period.
Specifically, the Consultant will be required to:
- Develop the NAHICO website in accordance with the requirements set up in the Terms of Reference;
- Coordinate the design of the web pages and the structure of the site with the NAHICO management and the working group;
- Evaluate the NAHICO’s ability to install and maintain the website on its server and come up with a proposal for eventual upgrade on equipment, staff etc;
- Install the website at the NAHICO’s server and launch it properly, including coordination with the Internet provider on the website registration etc.
- Register the website and its official address (e.g. www.nahico.laopdr.com or other agreeable link) with the Internet provider;
- Launch the website and maintain it for the first month of work;
- Train the NAHICO’s personnel assigned for the website’s maintenance and update;
- Provide for free the on-call technical support during the period of three months.
The National Avian and Human Influenza Coordination Office (NAHICO) now invites eligible individual consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services. A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers (May 2004 edition), following the Individual Consultants’ Selection (IC) method.
The candidates should meet the following qualification requirements:
• Relevant education i.e. graduate studies in IT field, website design and development, or similar;
• Proven and relevant experience in design and development of the websites and other Internetbased products;
• At least three similar assignments performed within the last two years; experience of work for development projects (World Bank and/or donor funded projects) and organizations would be an asset;
• Previous experience in the region, especially in Laos (would be an asset);
• Availability to work at NAHICO during the implementation phase, if necessary, and possibility of adequate after service support made available upon request;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Knowing Lao language is mandatory;
• Comprehensive computer skills relevant to the assignment (MS, web-design software, other).
